Sing Sing

Drama107 min

Wrongfully imprisoned at Sing Sing, Divine G finds purpose in a prison theater program that gives a group of incarcerated men space to rehearse, perform, and imagine life beyond the cellblock. Colman Domingo is Divine G, steady at the center of the group as a guarded newcomer joins their production; Clarence Maclin brings that newcomer’s tension into the room. Drawn from the real Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison, the film follows the practical work of putting on a stage show inside prison walls, with Paul Raci and Sean San José among the ensemble.
