After a freak accident gives an ordinary garden snail impossible speed, he sets his sights on the one race nobody expects him to enter: the Indianapolis 500. Ryan Reynolds is the dreamer at the center of the story, pushing past every limit his small world has set for him, while Paul Giamatti and Michael Peña are part of the crowd around him as the plan starts to look less absurd. The movie moves from backyard routines and neighborhood streets to the spectacle of a major race, building its comedy around a tiny underdog suddenly built for speed.
