A 4 a.m. knock at the door turns a couple’s remote getaway into a siege when three masked intruders descend on the house. Liv Tyler is Kristen McKay, stranded with Scott Speedman’s James Hoyt as the night fills with strange voices, disappearing footsteps, and figures lurking just outside the light. What begins as a quiet stay at a family vacation home becomes a home-invasion nightmare built around isolation, long stretches of silence, and the feeling that the attackers are always one room away. Bryan Bertino’s film keeps its focus tight on Kristen and James as the house itself becomes part of the trap.
