A group of men signs up for a paid social experiment that turns a simulated prison into a test of power. Some are assigned to play guards, others prisoners, and what begins as a controlled exercise quickly hardens into humiliation, retaliation, and abuse. As the organizers insist on observing without stepping in, the men inside start treating the game as something real, and the rules meant to keep it safe stop mattering. Moritz Bleibtreu anchors the prisoners’ side as resistance builds, while the guards push further to assert control. In the closed world of the experiment, ordinary roles become dangerous, and the line between study and violence starts to disappear.
