Doc Hollywood
ComedyDramaRomance104 min
On his way from a Washington, D.C., hospital to a lucrative plastic-surgery job in Beverly Hills, Dr. Ben Stone crashes his Porsche in small-town South Carolina and winds up sentenced to serve as the local general practitioner. Michael J. Fox is Ben, a young doctor focused on money, status, and a West Coast future until Grady slows him down. Around him, the town’s residents — including Julie Warner and Woody Harrelson — turn his detour into an extended stay of house calls, hospital shifts, and friction between big-city ambition and a close-knit Southern community.
