The Quiet Girl
Drama95 min
In rural Ireland in 1981, neglected nine-year-old Cait is sent from her overcrowded family home to stay with relatives for the summer. Catherine Clinch is Cait, a child who has learned to stay unnoticed at school and at home; with Carrie Crowley and Andrew Bennett as the couple caring for her, the house she enters is quieter, kinder, and unfamiliar in its attention. As the weeks pass, Cait begins to come out of herself, even as she senses that this household, for all its care, is keeping something unspoken.
