Theresa Russell is the officer at the center of it, caught between the demands of vice work, her personal relationships, and a case shaped by deception from every side. Jeff Fahey and George Dzundza figure into the web around her as the story moves through police units, street-level drug activity, and shifting alliances. Directed by Sondra Locke, the film leans into the strain of undercover work and the danger of losing control of the role.
