On New Year’s Eve 1999, two overlooked high school juniors crash a party hoping to change their fortunes before the millennium flips. When midnight hits, the Y2K bug turns phones, computers, and other everyday machines against them, trapping a crowd of teens in an AOL-era disaster. Jaeden Martell is one of the would-be party crashers, with Rachel Zegler and Julian Dennison among the classmates pulled into the chaos. The movie leans into late-’90s details — basement-party awkwardness, millennium panic, clunky tech — while sending its teenagers through a bloody, absurd fight to make it to morning.
