All Is Lost
ActionAdventureDrama106 min
A veteran sailor wakes aboard his yacht in the Indian Ocean to find seawater pouring in after a collision with a drifting shipping container. Robert Redford is the mariner, alone from the outset as damaged radio and navigation gear leave him cut off and steering into worsening weather. The story stays close to each practical decision — patching the hull, reading currents, rationing supplies, abandoning ship for a life raft — with almost no dialogue and no one else in sight. Sharks, heat, and the open water keep closing in as his dwindling options turn a routine voyage into a fight to stay alive.
