Dekalog
Drama55 min per episode
In an austere Warsaw housing project in 1980s Poland, ten separate stories follow residents as ordinary choices turn into moral tests. A father trusts computers to protect what matters most; a lonely woman fixes on a stranger; a young man, a taxi driver, a doctor, and a pair of brothers each face decisions that pit desire, guilt, duty, and chance against one another. The episodes are linked less by plot than by place and pressure, returning again and again to the moment when a private compromise becomes impossible to ignore. Directed by Krzysztof Kieślowski, the series builds its drama from intimate dilemmas whose consequences reach beyond a single apartment door.
