A Reason to Live, a Reason to Die

DramaWestern79 min

A dishonored Union officer assembles a group of convicts to retake Fort Holman from the Confederate Army, turning a military assault into a mission built on desperation and distrust. James Coburn is the officer at the center of the attack, trying to command men who have little reason to follow him. Bud Spencer and Telly Savalas join a cast of soldiers, prisoners, and rivals circling the same objective from different angles. Built around a fortified outpost, shifting loyalties, and the pressure of a single operation, the film takes a Civil War setup and runs it through the lean, dust-heavy style of an Italian western.
