A Thousand Words
ComedyDramaFantasy91 min
Jack McCall is a fast-talking literary agent whose whole life runs on charm, spin, and saying whatever closes the deal. Eddie Murphy’s Jack gets a shock after he tries to use New Age author Dr. Sinja (Cliff Curtis) for his own ends: a mysterious Bodhi tree appears in his backyard, and every word he speaks makes another leaf fall. As the count drops, Jack is forced into silence, turning ordinary conversations into a problem at work and at home. Kerry Washington is Caroline, his wife, as Jack’s usual patter stops working and he scrambles to communicate without the one tool he’s always relied on.
