The Book of Eli
ActionAdventureDramaSci-FiThriller118 min
Thirty years after a final war, Eli crosses the wasteland of what was once America with one task: protect a sacred book and carry it west. Denzel Washington is the taciturn wanderer, moving through ruined highways, scavenger camps, and towns held together by fear. When he passes through a settlement ruled by Gary Oldman’s Carnegie, the local strongman recognizes the book’s value and decides he wants it for himself. Mila Kunis’s Solara is drawn to the stranger and the life beyond Carnegie’s reach, as Eli keeps walking across a harsh, stripped-down America where faith and violence travel side by side.
