Tunnel Vision

Comedy70 min

A committee investigating the country’s first uncensored TV network sits down to review a full day of programming, and the result is a channel-surfing anthology of fake shows, commercials, news breaks, and on-air absurdity. Rather than following one story, the film moves sketch by sketch through what this anything-goes network puts on the air. John Candy and Chevy Chase appear among a large comedy ensemble, with familiar faces dropping in as anchors, performers, and pitchmen while the movie sends up the look and noise of 1970s television.
