Flickering Lights
ActionAdventureComedyCrime109 min
Four small-time criminals hit the road after a robbery, planning to disappear with the money before their boss catches up to them. When their getaway stalls at a run-down country inn, the hiding place starts to turn into something stranger: a pause from the violence and betrayal that usually shape their lives. Old grudges, bad habits, and the threat of retribution keep pressing in, even as the men begin repairing the inn and imagining a different future there. In Anders Thomas Jensen’s dark crime comedy, with Mads Mikkelsen and Ulrich Thomsen among the fugitives, the refuge they build is never far from the damage they bring with them.
