In Edwardian London, Wendy Darling’s bedtime stories about pirates and sword fights turn literal when Peter Pan flies into the nursery and carries her and her brothers to Neverland. Rachel Hurd-Wood’s Wendy is caught between childhood and growing up as she meets mermaids, fairies, the Lost Boys, and the island’s most dangerous pirate. Jeremy Sumpter is Peter, forever young and fiercely resistant to the adult world, while Jason Isaacs takes on both the stern Mr. Darling and the swaggering Captain Hook. Moonlit rooftops, crocodile chases, and lush jungle adventure shape this version of Barrie’s tale, with more emphasis on Wendy and Peter’s bond.
