On the brink of separation, Ethan and Sophie agree to one more attempt at fixing their marriage: a weekend at a beautiful vacation house suggested by their therapist. Mark Duplass's Ethan arrives wary and defensive; Sophie (Elisabeth Moss) is just as unsure whether anything between them can still be repaired. With Ted Danson briefly on hand as the therapist steering them there, the retreat starts like an awkward reset and quickly turns unusual, blurring the line between an intimate getaway and something far stranger. As the weekend unfolds, the couple are pushed into confronting what they want from each other and what they may no longer recognize.
