A Touch of Zen
ActionAdventureAnimeDramaFantasyThriller200 min
Feng Hsu is Yang Hui-zhen, a fugitive noblewoman hiding in a remote Ming-dynasty village while corrupt government agents hunt her down. She crosses paths with Chun Shih’s Gu Sheng-zhai, an unambitious painter and scholar whose quiet life is upended by rumors of ghosts, strangers in hiding, and the threat gathering around Yang. What begins as a wary alliance expands to include Buddhist monks and a mounting confrontation with swordsmen tied to the court. Bamboo groves, abandoned buildings, and carefully staged ambushes shape a story that moves from intrigue and disguise into martial arts and spiritual conflict.
