Veteran Secret Service agent Pete Garrison is drawn into an inside-job investigation after a fellow agent is murdered and signs point to an assassination plot against the president. Michael Douglas is Garrison, a longtime protector of the White House who is suddenly framed as the mole and cut loose from the agency he served for decades. Kiefer Sutherland’s David Breckinridge, once Garrison’s protégé, now leads the manhunt as suspicion closes in from every side. With Kim Basinger in the middle of the crisis as the First Lady, the film threads blackmail, damaged loyalties, and federal pursuit through a Washington security apparatus turned against one of its own.
