The Leftovers

DramaFantasyMysterySci-FiThriller57 min per episode

Three years after 2 percent of the world's population vanishes without explanation, a suburban town is still trying to live around the hole it left behind. Police chief Kevin Garvey, played by Justin Theroux, is supposed to keep order, but grief keeps breaking into public life through cults, fractured families, and private obsessions. Nora Durst, played by Carrie Coon, has lost her husband and children and moves through a world that keeps asking people to explain the unexplainable. As survivors search for meaning, punishment, or proof, everyday routines turn tense and strange, and the mystery of what happened becomes less urgent than the damage left in its wake.
