After moving into an old mansion, a young boy finds a mysterious book tied to a curse on Saturday the 14th, and opening it unleashes monsters into the house. Richard Benjamin heads the family alongside Paula Prentiss as the parents trying to keep their home—and their neighborhood—from turning into a supernatural free-for-all. Jeffrey Tambor turns up in the middle of the mayhem as the film leans into spoof and slapstick, filling the attic and hallways with creatures, creepy house business, and a steadily escalating fight over the book at the center of it all.
