Her search collides with Dylan McDermott's Sal Torme, a fast-lane salesman from Queens whose world doesn't neatly fit Toby's hopes. The film follows the gap between Jersey practicality and uptown ambition as their relationship moves through diners, car lots, and the push-pull of class and romance.
