When their daughter and son-in-law leave town, old-school grandparents Artie and Diane step in to watch three grandchildren who are used to a very different kind of parenting. Their daughter is already skeptical, and the week quickly turns into a clash over rules, routines, school pressure, and how much control adults should keep over every part of a kid’s day. Artie tries to win the children over his way, Diane works to keep the peace, and small mishaps keep growing into bigger family blowups. As the visit stretches on, every attempt to help tests the household and forces parents, grandparents, and kids to figure out how to live together.
