Foods That Cure Disease
Documentary260 min
After a high-cholesterol diagnosis, Craig McMahon turns his own health into the subject of the film, adopting a whole plant-based diet and measuring what happens next. Certified by Cornell in plant nutrition, McMahon interviews physicians and researchers including T. Colin Campbell and Michael Greger, asking for the science behind food and disease rather than settling for broad wellness claims. He also brings that research into his kitchen, preparing the meals he’s trying to live on day to day. The film moves between expert testimony, nutrition advice, and McMahon’s account of trying to change a path he believed was genetic.
