Grumpier Old Men
ComedyRomance101 min
A family wedding stirs up the old battle between next-door neighbors John and Max, longtime fishing buddies whose friendship still runs on insults and one-upmanship. Walter Matthau's John and Jack Lemmon's Max find a fresh source of trouble when Maria (Sophia Loren), an Italian divorcée, buys the local bait shop and plans to turn it into a restaurant. As the townspeople fret over what that means for fishing, Maria takes a clear interest in Max, adding jealousy and flirtation to a feud that was already simmering.
