Why Didn't They Ask Evans?
ComedyDramaMysteryRomanceThriller58 min per episode
Bobby Jones, a vicar’s son, is pulled into a murder mystery after a dying man’s last words — “Why didn’t they ask Evans?” — land in his lap. Will Poulter is Bobby, and Lucy Boynton’s Lady Frankie Derwent turns the case into a two-person investigation that moves through Welsh golf greens, grand houses, and a widening list of suspects. Their amateur sleuthing uncovers hints of poison, hidden identities, and a crime larger than the pair first imagined. Hugh Laurie adapts Agatha Christie with a light, sharp touch, keeping Bobby and Frankie’s banter close at hand as the danger around them grows.
