The Waterboy
Comedy90 min
Bobby Boucher spends his days handing out water for a college football team and taking abuse from nearly everyone around him. Sheltered by his overbearing mother and treated like a joke, he seems destined to stay on the sidelines until his bottled-up anger erupts on the field. A struggling coach spots what no one else has: Bobby is a devastating tackler. Suddenly, the team’s waterboy becomes its secret weapon, and Bobby has to navigate brutal opponents, locker-room ridicule, and his mother’s fierce objections to football itself. As the season turns, his strange rise throws him into campus attention he has never known, with Adam Sandler and Kathy Bates at the center of the chaos.
