In 2057, with the sun fading and Earth facing a global freeze, an international crew is sent on humanity’s last shot: carry a stellar bomb into space and reignite the star after an earlier mission fails. Cillian Murphy is among the astronauts aboard the spacecraft, with Michelle Yeoh and Chris Evans part of a team forced to balance exacting science, mechanical risk, and mounting pressure as they travel toward the sun. Directed by Danny Boyle, the film keeps close to the ship’s sealed-in tension while the scale of the mission grows more unsettling the farther the crew moves from Earth.
