When a billionaire entrepreneur decides to fund an iconic movie, he hands the job to renowned filmmaker Lola Cuevas. Penélope Cruz is Lola, orchestrating a tense rehearsal process for two famous, deeply mismatched stars: Antonio Banderas's Félix Rivero, a movie idol, and radical theatre actor Iván Torres. As Lola puts them through increasingly eccentric exercises before filming even begins, old rivalries and clashing ideas about art rise to the surface.
