Two Mothers

Drama75 minWatch trailer

Katja and Isabella are happily married and ready to have a child, but the difficulty of artificial insemination begins to wear away at the life they’ve built together. Karina Plachetka and Sabine Wolf center the film as a couple whose plans for parenthood turn into mounting strain at home. Told in German and focused closely on the pair, the story stays with the pressure of trying to start a family when the process refuses to go smoothly, and with what that pressure begins to do to their relationship.
