On an obstetrics and gynaecology ward in an NHS hospital, junior doctors race through punishing shifts while trying to keep patients safe and themselves functioning. The series follows Adam and Shruti as they climb the hospital hierarchy, juggling emergencies, impossible workloads, and the small mistakes that can suddenly carry enormous consequences. As the pressure at work keeps spilling into their personal lives, exhaustion, guilt, and dark humor become part of the daily routine. Ben Whishaw and Ambika Mod bring the two central doctors into focus, and both characters occasionally turn to the camera, letting the chaos, frustration, and absurdity of the job land with sharp honesty.
