After accidentally freezing himself for 1,000 years, slacker Philip J. Fry wakes up on New Year’s Eve 2999 to a world of robots, mutants, and routine trips between planets. With no place in the future, he lands a job at Planet Express, an interplanetary delivery company where every assignment turns into a new problem. Fry works alongside the tough, one-eyed Leela and the reckless robot Bender, and even simple deliveries can spiral into run-ins with alien societies, bizarre technology, and bureaucratic absurdity. The series builds its comedy out of that mismatch: a very ordinary guy trying to keep up in a future where nothing is ordinary.
