Midsomer Murders
CrimeDramaMystery90 min per episode
Violent crimes keep shattering the calm of Midsomer’s villages, where a senior detective and his sergeant work methodically through feuds, secrets, and crowded suspect lists. John Nettles is DCI Tom Barnaby in the early years, while Neil Dudgeon’s John Barnaby later takes over the investigations. Across the fictional English county, the cases grow out of local rivalries, buried grudges, and small-community politics, with murders unfolding against church fêtes, manor houses, and tidy lanes that rarely stay peaceful for long.
