Wallander

CrimeDramaMystery89 min per episode

Inspector Kurt Wallander works in and around Ystad, where an apparently sleepy stretch of southern Sweden is confronting a rising tide of violence. Kenneth Branagh is Wallander, a middle-aged detective and everyman whose investigations keep bleeding into his family life and closest relationships; Richard McCabe is among the colleagues in his orbit. Though performed in English, the series stays rooted in Skåne’s coastal towns and flat gray light, with cases that chip away at the calm image of the region and leave Wallander carrying the strain from one crime scene to the next.
