The Man from Earth
DramaFantasyMysterySci-Fi87 min
At a farewell gathering in a university professor’s house, John Oldman drops a claim that turns a quiet send-off into an all-night argument: he says he has lived for more than 14,000 years. His colleagues, all trained to question evidence, press him from every angle as he answers with fragments of history, anthropology, religion, and memory. What begins as a thought experiment grows more personal and harder to dismiss, especially as each challenge forces John to explain how such a life could stay hidden. Set almost entirely in one room, the film follows the shifting balance between skepticism and belief as David Lee Smith’s John tests how far his friends will follow the story.
