The Reckless Moment
CrimeDramaThriller82 min
A housewife’s attempt to protect her family turns into a cover-up when she discovers the dead body of her teenage daughter’s lover and tries to keep scandal from reaching the police. Joan Bennett is the mother at the center of the panic, juggling a household, mounting suspicion, and one bad decision after another. Then a stranger appears with leverage: James Mason’s blackmailer, who recognizes her vulnerability and presses in. What begins in an orderly suburban home tightens into a web of secrecy, money problems, and quiet negotiations where every move risks exposing the family.
