A group of environmentalists arrives in a remote tropical delta to investigate toxic waste dumping and finds something worse in the water: a giant, man-eating crocodile. Richard Anthony Crenna and Ann Douglas are among the ecologists trying to expose the pollution as attacks mount and the local authorities prove corrupt or useless. What begins as an investigation into poisoned waterways turns into a scramble through the swamp, where every trip by boat or on foot risks running into the reptile circling the delta.
