Van Gogh
ActionAdventureDocumentaryDramaRomance158 min
After leaving an asylum in 1890, Vincent van Gogh settles in Auvers-sur-Oise under the care of Doctor Gachet, painting steadily as his mental health remains fragile. Jacques Dutronc is Vincent, restless and absorbed in his work, while Gérard Séty’s Dr. Gachet offers a home that quickly becomes emotionally tangled. As Vincent spends time with his brother Theo and begins an affair with Gachet’s daughter, the film stays close to the routines, money worries, social visits, and artistic fixation that shape the painter’s final weeks.
