In 1950s post-colonial Madras, a filmmaker racing to complete the movie he hopes will define him is drawn into a mounting rivalry with the reigning star he once introduced to the screen. The conflict begins as a professional clash on set, then tightens around the production’s debutante leading actress, turning artistic ambition into something more intimate and volatile. The ensemble includes Dulquer Salmaan and Bhagyashri Borse, with the story unfolding inside the controlled world of cameras, costumes, and studio power. As the bond between director, actor, and actress shifts, the line between performance and private feeling begins to blur.
