Stand Up Guys

82 min

Ibro (Emir Hadžihafizbegović) takes his son from a small Bosnian town to Zagreb, where Armin hopes to audition for a German film about the war in Bosnia. What begins as a straightforward trip turns into a string of delays and humiliations: a broken-down bus, a missed appointment, and the uneasy realization that the role may not fit him after all. As Armin Omerović’s Armin grows quieter and more discouraged, the focus shifts to the bond between father and son, and to Ibro’s stubborn effort to keep the boy’s hopes intact in a city that keeps shutting doors.
