After years in a mental institution, a horror-movie star agrees to revive his signature screen monster for television, just as a string of killings begins to mirror the murders from his old films. Vincent Price is the actor at the center of the production, caught between a comeback and the fear that Dr. Death may have followed him off the set. Peter Cushing and Natasha Pyne are among the people drawn into the mounting chaos as rehearsals, publicity, and studio life turn increasingly unstable around a performer whose most famous role refuses to stay fictional.
