Good Morning, Night

Drama106 min

In 1978 Italy, the kidnapping of Aldo Moro, head of the Christian Democratic Party, is seen through the eyes of a young woman inside the Red Brigades cell holding him. Maya Sansa centers the story as that conflicted militant, living the routines of clandestine life while doubt presses against the group’s political certainty. Luigi Lo Cascio appears alongside her as one of the other kidnappers. By narrowing a national crisis to the rooms where Moro is kept and the conscience of one participant, the film turns a major act of political violence into an intimate, enclosed drama.
