Pete's Dragon
ActionAdventureAnimationComedyFamilyFantasyMusical128 min
After running away, young orphan Pete lands in a Maine fishing town with his closest friend in tow: Elliott, a huge dragon who can vanish from sight as quickly as he can fill the sky. Sean Marshall's Pete is taken in by Nora, the local lighthouse keeper, and Helen Reddy gives the role an easy warmth as she tries to protect him from suspicion and gossip. Blending live action with animation, the film follows Elliott's well-meaning chaos around town until a couple of crooked schemers decide the unusual creature is something they can capture and profit from.
