Harkara

Drama125 min

A frustrated postman, angling for a transfer, fools the villagers on his route until one last uphill delivery brings him alongside a wayfarer with a story to tell. The tale is about a harkara — a messenger from the past — and as it unfolds, the postman’s petty scheme gives way to guilt. Ram Arun Castro appears in the title role within that story, with Kaali Venkat among the film’s central performers. The film moves between the postman’s trek through hill country and the legend he hears along the way.
