Reis
Drama108 min
A young man from Istanbul’s working-class Kasimpasa district pushes into Turkish politics and begins a climb that will carry him to the center of national power. The film follows Recep Tayyip Erdoğan through formative years, public ambitions, and the political battles that shape his rise. As he moves from local activism into higher office, he faces resistance from entrenched institutions, public scrutiny, and the pressure of turning personal conviction into a governing vision. Framed as a biographical drama, it traces how a polarizing political figure is built in public, with private setbacks and key turning points feeding a larger story about power in modern Turkey.
