Sound of My Voice

DramaMysterySci-FiThriller87 min

Two documentary filmmakers infiltrate a secretive cult, planning to expose the woman at its center as a fraud. Maggie, played by Brit Marling, speaks in whispers, predicts small details, and claims she has come back from the year 2054 to warn her followers. What begins as an undercover project turns unstable as each meeting pulls the pair deeper into the group’s rituals and into Maggie’s orbit. Their camera becomes both evidence and a liability: the more they investigate, the less certain they are about what they’re seeing, and the more their own trust in each other starts to fray.
