Dial M for Murder

CrimeDramaMysteryThriller105 min

In London, retired tennis star Tony Wendice suspects his wife Margot of having an affair with American writer Mark Halliday and turns jealousy into a carefully arranged murder plot. Ray Milland’s Tony circles Grace Kelly’s Margot with polished manners and cold calculation, while Robert Cummings is the visitor whose arrival throws the marriage into crisis. Alfred Hitchcock keeps the action tightly wound around blackmail, shifting alibis, and tiny pieces of evidence, with much of the tension confined to the couple’s elegant apartment and the plan unfolding inside it.
