Kit Carson
DramaRomanceWestern97 min
Frontiersman Kit Carson is trying to keep the trail to California moving as attacks hit the route and pressure builds on the frontier. Jon Hall is Carson, with Dana Andrews as Capt. John C. Frémont, a military ally in the push west, and Lynn Bari's Delores Murphy adding a romantic thread to the story. George B. Seitz's 1940 film was shot in Kayenta, Arizona, and uses Monument Valley's rock formations and open desert as a backdrop for wagon-train movement, skirmishes, and larger-than-life frontier figures, including Raymond Hatton's Jim Bridger and Ward Bond as Ape.
