Meet Wally Sparks
Comedy105 min
Wally Sparks is the host of a trashy daytime TV show, and when his ratings slip, he goes hunting for a bigger scandal to put himself back in the headlines. Rodney Dangerfield is Wally, a loudmouthed TV personality whose latest target is Southern governor Floyd Preston (David Ogden Stiers), a moral crusader Wally suspects of hiding a sex scandal. That sends him to the governor’s mansion with cameras, bad instincts, and a talent for turning every situation into a public mess. Burt Reynolds appears as the network boss pressuring Wally to pull off a comeback, with Debi Mazar in the middle of the tabloid-TV chaos.
