Mike (Mark Wahlberg), a construction worker from New Jersey, is pulled out of his regular life when his long-lost high school sweetheart recruits him for a U.S. intelligence mission. Halle Berry’s Roxanne now moves through a world of spies and covert operations, and Mike suddenly has to keep up with people who treat deception, code names, and danger like everyday business. The setup turns a blue-collar guy into an unlikely newcomer in espionage, with J.K. Simmons and Mike Colter among the figures surrounding the mission.
